Solar absorber production.

LANTEC produces solar absorbers using laser welding, this is an area where Lantec has been working since 2005.

Advantages

Lantec only manufactures absorbers

Several advantages of the laser welding makes it the reference technology in solar absorber production:

• High resistance to the temperature.
• An incredible transfer of heat between the circuit and the absorber.
• Stable soldered joints and highly resistant.
• A big aesthetic level in welding: selective plate is not damaged.
• Possibility of welding different materials Cu/Cu, Al/Al, Cu/Al.
• Material’s thermal affection is almost irrelevant, this is the reason why the stress level is considerably reduced in them.

Types

LANTEC produces two types of absorbers: meander absorbers, horizontal and vertical ones, and harp absorbers.

Laser welding

A pulsed laser YAG type of Robin Baasel, shoots thousands of union points assuring the quality of the union and the effective thermal transference.

While this is happening, our positioning head is responsible for the welding to go to the exact place producing a high quality and reliability union.

Due to the increases in copper price, there is another possibility, to produce Al/Al absorbers saving in materials cost.

As a tool the laser gives a big flexibility in the absorber’s design, permitting wide range models, nearly custom made.
